Meg Taylor | 2018 C-VILLE-athon Finisher
One of my favorite C-ville-athon races is the Charlottesville Women’s 4 Miler. It is always a positive experience and benefits such a great cause. This year’s race was special for me because my 8 year old daughter trained and ran the 4 Miler with me. While is was not my best 4 Miler race time, the memories I made with my daughter training and running the race are priceless (picture attached).
The C-ville-Athon is a great way to encourage runners to complete races benefiting a range of local charities. It’s also a wonderful way to try new races completing those 26.2 miles. Completing the C-ville-Athon was a goal of mine for 2018 and will be a goal again for me in 2019. I have lived in Charlottesville for 15 years (I am a “transplant” from Suffolk, VA). I picked up running in 2015 when my kids’ schedules got busy and I couldn’t make it to the gym as much as I needed. I work as a hospital pharmacist at Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital. I am very thankful for my supportive husband who allows me to run and two wonderful children who are some of my biggest cheerleaders. |
